En el Siglo XVI, Francia celebraba el año nuevo con la entrada de la primavera, el día 25 de marzo, pero, más tarde, la fecha se trasladó al 1 de abril.  Con la reforma del calendario gregoriano, el Rey Carlos ordenó que la fiesta de áño nuevo se celebrara el día 1 de enero.  Sin embargo, el pueblo continuaba celebrando la fiesta el 1 de abril, y los resistentes, haciendo gala de un sentido del homor, establecieron la costumbre de regalarse cosas absurdas y celebrar reuniones extravagantes.  Con los años la mayoría del país  se adaptó al cambio, pero la costumbre de hacer algo raro el 1 de abril se mantuvo y pasó a Inglaterra doscientos años más tarde y, finalmente, a los Estados Unidos.  Es fácil parecer tonto cuando nos negamos a cambiar y seguir las modas, pero a veces las antiguas tradiciones tienen mucho más sentido.

 

De ahora en adelante presta atención a las bromas.  ¿Qué piensas de la costumbre de gastarlas  ¿Según tu opinión, qué les parece a los ángeles?  Ten siempre mucho cuidado a la hora de juzgar a los demás y no pienses enseguida que son idiotas; un juicio apresurado podría volverse contra ti.

In the sixteenth century, France celebrated the New Year with the arrival of spring, on March 25, but later moved the date to April 1.  With the reform of the Gregorian calendar, King Charles ordered the New Year's party will be held on January 1.  But the people continued celebrating the feast on April 1, and resistant, displaying a sense of humor, established the custom of absurdities and treat yourself to extravagant meetings.  Over the years most of the country adapted to change, but the habit of doing something weird on April 1 stood and went to England two hundred years later and finally to the United States.  It's easy to look silly when we refuse to change and follow trends, but sometimes the old traditions have a lot more sense.
