Re: [xev2] Error when starting Android App in Cloud after enabling GAM

No, the idea is that authentication with external systems is made through the GAM

But users are maintained through the external system in this case

I am not clear on your response.  Will I be able to do
Authentication/Authorization in an SD App WITHOUT GAM?

Thanks

Hi Scott,

Yes, it will be possible to configure the GAM in a way
that authentication is done through a web service.
In this case you have to program the Web Service with an interface
defined by the GAM and this gives you the possibility that the username
and password authentication can be made against other systems or DB

Eugenio

Thanks.  I am downloading it now.

Another question about GAM.  Is GAM required to do
authentication/authorization in SD Apps or can you have your own?  I am
trying to create an App over existing data in a system that already has
users and security setup, so I'd like to avoid having another security
 system if possible.

 Hi Scott,
this is solved from the build 42506 which is available for download

Other than doing a create database again (I don't have any real data to

  Thanks!
